The people of Laprak village and the surrounding areas have greatly suffered since the 2015 earthquake. They do not have a proper sanitation system; clean drinking water system; place to live or place for students to study. However, organizations like GlobalGiving have stepped up to help the people who have suffered most as a result of the 2015 earthquakes.
We have just completed our water project in Laprak village. It will serve up to 4,000 people. Providing clean drinking water to under served communities is vital to keep them safe or free of water born disease.
We formed a water project committee with local villagers in Laprak. The committee members were responsible for finding laborers and are responsible maintaining the drinking water tanks and taps for years to come.
We had over 50 people helping/working at the drinking water system. We have not only provided clean drinking water but we have also provided employment to many villages where otherwise employment is hard to come by.
On behalf of Journey Home Foundation, I would like to thank Global Giving and our supporters for making this all possible.
