The people of Laprak have lost everything. Whole families have been wiped out. A lifetime's hard earned home and belongings disappeared in the blink of an eye. Sustenance farms have been washed away or buried. Not only the present, but also the future seems vanished in the space of a moment. The heartbreak and loss appears insurmountable. The situation is so devastating that some villagers have become devoid of all hope and have jumped from cliffs to their deaths.
