Global Reach International has started the construction of the Kabrepalanchouk "Shree Kali Primary School" located on the border of China. We have attached photos of the school to this report. The school will have five rooms, a water well, and new bathrooms. We are also replacing all the desks and school supplies. The children are currently learning in steal shelters until the school is complete.
Our first phase of funding to this school was $7500.00 The first phase is for purchasing the materials and transportation. Once materials are in place, Global Reach will send addtional funds to complete the construction. Our gaol is to have the school complete within four months.
A board member from Global Reach International will be going to Nepal in February for two months. Once he arrives, we will be able to give addtional photos and progress reports.
Global Reach International also gave $1300 to a business in the Kathmandu Valley that was damaged by the earthquake. The business owner of this shop lost everything in the earthquake. The $1300 will help him reestablish his business.
