We are establishing a fund to help with the relief efforts for the devastating earthquake. Money will be given to charities that we are working with and local communities that were affected by this tragedy. Global Reach International has local contacts from Nepal that will get the funds directly to the people in need. Money will be used to buy food, medical supplies, construction material for re-building, and other necessary items needed for relief.
A devastating earthquake that left people homeless and in need. Our projects will be effective due to the rise in costs of day to day necessities, especially the staple commodity of rice.
We are looking to establish a fund that will help bring relief and development for the long term. We have 12 projects in Nepal and four of them have been affected by the earthquake in Kathmandu. (St. Devi's Academy, Porapakar Orphanage, Helping Hands Home, and our disabled children's home that has 47 children.) All were damaged and need repair. They will need long term support for food and supplies.
Rebuilding homes, fixing existing businesses, and bringing relief to those in need. There are 205 children in need with our projects, all of which live in the Kathmandu area. Money will go directly to these projects and surrounding communities. We are still not aware of the complete need until we do an assessment over the next few weeks.
This project has provided additional documentation in a XLSX file (projdoc.xlsx).
