Ba Futuru’s preschool celebrated Timor-Leste’s 15 year anniversary of its independence with a fantastic festival showcasing local artisans, culture, music and dance. Students, teachers and parents enjoyed a fun filled day at Ba Futuru’s Peace Center, and learnt about turtles and environmental protection as well. The children even got to visit with real live turtles and watch filming about their nesting habits.
In May the students also took a field trip to visit the Dili International Airport and got to learn about airplanes and sit in the cockpit of a small plane.
Enrollment at our preschool has reached 45 students this semester and thanks to your invaluable support we have been able to provide 15 low income children with free education.
Thank you!
