Drug Support for Parkinson's Patients

People living with Parkinson's disease in our community continue to face significant challenges, including discrimination, fatigue, limited access to healthcare, and a lack of social support. As the number of patients grows, so does the need for urgent assistance. The number of patients registered with our organization continues to increase, while the cost of Parkinson's medications has risen sharply due to high inflation in the country. For many families, the cost of treatment has become unaffordable. Patients living in rural areas are especially affected, as many are unable to access essential medications because of both their high cost and limited availability.

Although donations received through GlobalGiving during the past two months were lower than we had hoped, every contribution has made a meaningful difference. With support from GlobalGiving donors, individual contributors, and other partners, we provided medication assistance to many patients in Addis Ababa and to 33 vulnerable patients living in rural areas since our last report. For many of these individuals, receiving their medication has brought hope and helped them continue managing their condition despite difficult circumstances. We remain committed to reaching more patients and providing essential support as additional funding becomes available. Thank you for standing with people living with Parkinson's disease and helping us improve their quality of life.
