In respect to my project 'Drug Awareness and Business Skills for 90 Kano youths'. All consultations and meetings with various bodies and NGO executives are ongoing. To start with, a multipurpose hall has been secured with the support of Paradigm Initiatives.
An initial meeting was held with the proposed media team at Vanguard newspapers, and we are to meet on 28th March, to finalize our negotiation with the Vanguard Newspaper representative.
On the participants, selective measures have been put in place base on random selections. One of the better ways to achieve this is through creation of google form to get their data easily while participation will be based on invitation and gender equality. Paradigm Initiative is also supporting me on this because their proximity to the community really gave me an edge.
On Volunteers and guest speakers, series of meeting were held on the way to coordinate the 2 days event.
For the snacks and drinks have already be contracted out.
Digital camera firm was consulted to make sure the 2 days event are exceptionally covered.
All souvenirs, gifts, motivational packages, entrepreneurial tools purchased for participants will be given to participants free of charge. And all items will be crested SI4DEV logo design that was approved for the banners and Tshirt. Tshirts to be use will be of a very high quality to enable embroidered SI4DEV design more permanent on the shirts without fades.
Representative of Union Bank will be present on the event days to give a brief talk on the importance of using banking for entrepreneurial uplift.
Apart from some lucky potential participants who will go home with some packages, best group based on group discussion will also benefits. While 2 males and 2 females (based on gender equality) with proven outstanding skills will be supported by me on their respective line of business (on a continuous term for a period till they can expand and impact same on other persons).
All participants will have a customized SI4DEV tag for proper records and recognition.
Hand Sanitizer and hand wash will be made available for participants for precautionary motives (COVID 19) and date for the 2 days event will be determined in line with the State government directives.
Final phase of preparation will take after the 28th march meeting.
Thank you once more for the opportunity to serve humanity through impacting on youths
Best Regards
