MOVING FORWARD TO BRIGHTER FUTURES
Our college/university students hosted a Career Booth experience with the theme ‘Sulong’ (which means ‘Forward’ or ‘Advance’), showcasing various fields and courses that high school students might pursue in their future education. The event featured 10 booths, each dedicated to a specific field:
• Hospitality and Tourism Management
• Health and Medicine
• Education
• Arts and Communications
• Socio-Political Studies
• Criminology
• Business Administration
• Science and Technology
• Architecture
• Engineering and Industrial Technology
The event was a resounding success, with over 200 participants from Junior High, Senior High, and drop-out students.
The enthusiasm of the attendees was evident. Josh shared:
"I am excited to move up to college and do these amazing events too for other students."
Kael added:
"I am surprised how great our Ates and Kuyas are in college. They explained courses very well and made me super excited for my future career."
It was a testament to dedication and teamwork. Our College Coordinator, expressed immense pride: "I am proud of how the college students made this event successful because of their efforts in putting up amazing booths, fun activities, and, more importantly, how they gave their hearts to help their younger co-YF students by sharing their knowledge, experiences, expertise, and tips to choose the best course and school for them. All the college students who participated to pull off the target goal of this event deserved a round of applause despite the challenges of their class schedule at school. Also, thanks for the support of our Young Professionals who showed up to support their colleagues!"
As we look forward to the next school year, with more Grade 12 graduates joining the college ranks, this event has set the perfect stage for them to begin their career journeys.
This year's Sulong Career Booth was not just an event—it was a celebration of hope, dedication, and the limitless potential of our students to inspire and empower one another.
