Challenge

CREATE! operates in the Sahel desert, facing extreme temperatures and short rainy seasons. Our team navigates this harsh climate and deteriorating roads with an old, unreliable truck that lacks air conditioning and frequently breaks down, putting everyone's safety at risk. These conditions threaten our team's well-being and hinder our ability to reach communities we work with. Without a reliable vehicle to deliver essential services and materials, our mission in rural Senegal is compromised.

Solution

A newer truck will enable efficient, safe commutes between partner communities to transport essential materials for our projects. It will support reforestation by delivering saplings and equipment to combat deforestation and climate change. Reliable transport ensures delivery of materials for well rehabilitation, securing clean water access. and will aid in transporting seeds and tools for sustainable agriculture, to ensure food security. It will also allow our team to reach more communities.

Long-Term Impact

By securing a reliable vehicle, CREATE! will ensure our team can consistently reach communities, leading to greater project success. Community gardens and rehabilitated wells will provide sustainable food sources and income, while women gain economic empowerment through training programs.
