Across Egypt's border governorates and underserved rural areas, thousands of orphaned children grow up without access to proper clothing. For many of them, Eid - a time meant for joy, celebration, and new clothes - passes like any other day, often without even one new outfit to wear. Through the "Eid Joy" Campaign, the Egyptian Clothing Bank (ECB) aims to provide 100,000 orphan children in Egypt's border governorates with brand-new Eid clothing kits.
In Egypt's remote border and underserved communities, many orphaned children struggle to access basic clothing. Caregivers with limited income often prioritize food and shelter over clothes. As a result, thousands of children enter Eid without new outfits to celebrate. This lack of proper clothing affects their confidence and participation in school and social life. Instead of joy and dignity, Eid can become a painful reminder of inequality for these vulnerable children.
The Egyptian Clothing Bank launches the "Eid Joy" campaign to restore the spirit of Eid for orphaned children. Through this initiative, 100K brand-new Eid clothing kits will be distributed to orphans in border governorates and underserved communities across Egypt. Each kit includes a complete Eid outfit, underwear set, new shoes, and socks. Carefully selected for quality and dignity, the kits allow children to celebrate Eid with pride and have durable clothing they can wear throughout the year.
- Restoring joy, dignity, and confidence for orphan children during Eid. - Supporting children's social inclusion during celebrations and community gatherings. - Providing essential clothing that lasts beyond the Eid season. - Strengthening psychological well-being and self-esteem among underprivileged children. - Reinforcing community solidarity and care for orphaned children.
