DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation is dedicated to making America financially "FIT." We are seeking your support with the development and implementation of FitKit Express for young women and FitKit Express for young men community programs. Express programs are innovative educational programs envisioned to be compelling community conversations with young men and women of living in poverty that relate specifically to the mindset, history, values and challenges related to those communities.
Financial literacy among American students is troubling low. 46% of teens do now know how to create a budget and nearly 50% are unsure of how to use a credit card effectively. 59% of millennial graduates have no idea when their student loans will be paid off. 76% of college graduates with the had more help to prepare for their financial futures.
DoughMain Financial Literacy Foundation produces the FitKit financial literacy curriculum for use by students and teachers to help prepare students for a lifetime of financial responsibility. The FitKit is a focused, comprehensive, standards-based curriculum designed for educators and students from all socio-economic backgrounds, and meets the financial literacy requirements for high school graduation.
Our FitKit curriculum can be used to educate students in good financial literacy planning habits which they can use throughout their lives. Our program also helps teachers more effectively teach financial literacy to students. We have developed a FitKit for Girls which specifically addresses the unique challenges women face in managing and planning their financial future.
