Growing in Size and Production

Hola compañeros!

The past few months have been wildly productive for the AASD, Café Orígenes, and the participating farmers. This is down season for the coffee farmers meaning that producers are focused on maintaining and fertilizing their farms. However, this is also the time in which our project can thrive.

Thanks to supporters like yourselves, we have increased the number of project participants from 40 to 60, and now more than ever, we are starting to see the results of the soil and commercialization interventions. Farmers around the whole region are spreading the importance of our project by word of mouth, and we are actively seeking more funding to meet the demand. The fertilization especially has been a huge motivator for farmers as they are seeing the results on their coffee yield. We delivered multiple tons of organic soil inputs and conducted workshops on fertilization application and optimization in the past few months, and farmers are already asking for the next steps.

We have proved the concept, and now we need all of your support to expand! We appreciate everything that you all do for us and we look forward to growing the project hand in hand with all of you.

Sincerely,

The AASD
