Dosti's school in Kashmire Kela, Pakistan, provides quality education to 40 children who, due to their families' poverty, otherwise could not go to school. With your help, the school could take 100.
Many children in poor rural areas of Pakistan, including Kashmir Kela, live in poverty with no opportunity to acquire education and skills that will lift them out of it. Many work to pay off family debts dating back generations. Poor children are vulnerable to being trafficked and exploited for labor. Poverty breeds terrorism and violence, as those with nothing join forces with the militants just to get the necessities of life.
Dosti provides basic education to as many as 3000 children, employs about 100 teachers, and sponsors a few scholarships. With your support, the school at Kashmir Kela can improve its facilities, raise the teachers' salary, admit more children.
The 100 children being educated at Kashmir Kela, will have the chance to rise out of poverty. And because they will have been exposed to alternative ideas and means of survival, they and their children will resist propaganda from militant groups
