Climate change is one of the greatest challenges of our time and extreme weather events are on the rise all over the world. Iraq in particular These changes in Iraq's climate are increasingly affecting people, their nutrition and their access to food. The people living in Iraq are the ones most affected by the consequences of climate change and do not have the resources to fight it:
But how does climate change affect nutrition and access to food? Three examples from a long list...
In areas already suffering from high levels of hunger and poverty, the population is mostly dependent on agriculture. If rainfall or other climatic fluctuations occur, the harvest fails, is reduced, or is ruined, and the livestock dies.
Due to weather extremes, farming conditions are becoming increasingly difficult, and the soil is becoming less fertile. As a result, food prices are on the rise due to shortages across Iraq.
The list of climate change impacts on food security is long and the interrelationships are complex. But it is the fact that climate change is one of the main causes of hunger and poverty around the world.
Together , let's fight the effects of climate change on world hunger!

Bothoor Al-Khair Organization was able to provide a food basket for a total of 10 families during this time. The organization also provided support such as milk and diapers for children under the age of 1 who are at risk of facing malnutrition. The beneficiaries of this initiative are 16 children. Hunger also affects households in informal settlements, as confirmed by most of our data.
We also introduced a mother-to-child nutrition training activity, the aim of this activity is to provide nutritional knowledge to pregnant women and nursing mothers. Mothers whose children were at risk of malnutrition were offered a box of porridge flour and relief food in an effort to mitigate the challenge.
challenges.
The increase in the high cost of living has caused many children to starve, and this has also led to more children and even adults bringing their own meals. We are seeking more funds to make sure that no child sleeps on an empty stomach.
