We are very much thankful for your donations for the COVID-19 Relief through GlobalGiving. In the countless stories of feeding the hungry, this one will remain close to the heart long after Corona Virus pandemic comes to an end. Since March 2020 various lockdowns & bandh in Kurnool, the SERUDS team of 25 conducted a quality assessment of poorer families which are hit the worst due to the current pandemic totally 870 families benefited from this Relief Support.

In different locations of Kurnool district of Andhra Pradesh have been working Covid Relief for the daily wage workers & migrant labourers. With your donations we are feeding the hungry by donating groceries kits. The bottom-line beneficiaries in this group of 870 include scavengers, auto drivers, construction labourers, construction site labourers, slum dwellers were benefited from this initiative. Covid-19 Coronavirus Relief Sponsorship included 5 Kg Rice, 1Kg Sugar, 1kg Salt, 1 Ltr Sunflower Cooking Oil, 1 KG Atta, 1 Kg Dal, 4 Lifeboy Soaps, Handwash, Masks, Sanitizers.

Our volunteers & staff always bring so much energy and it gives us a lot of happiness when the next generation take the chances to make a difference. We are all extending our vision and benevolence to help impact and benefit the slum dwellers in various locations. On a recent visit to a railway station road, we have distributed and emphasized on the importance of Sanitation which included Masks, Water, Sanitizers and Hand Washes to the homeless people. Many of the places, migrant workers and daily wage worker families haven’t received any support as they are slightly off the beaten path and that’s where we will keep supporting and extending our covid-19 relief. Your kindness & sponsorship needed to donate groceries kits to the daily wage earners of meagre income jobs and migrant workers.

Greetings from SERUDS

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh – India has been in lock down since 25 March to control Covid-19 pandemic, causing mass layoffs and heavy job losses. Millions of desperate migrant workers, particularly daily-wage earners, facing starvation after losing jobs are fleeing cities on foot to return to their villages. Help promised by state governments in terms of cash transfers and free ration kit distribution has not reached many sections, due to the sheer numbers involved and lack of ration cards with migrant guest workers.

SERUDS in one of the leading ngos providing relief during covid-19 in Andhra Pradesh. SERUDS is providing cooked meals and grocery kits to the poor and jobless daily wage workers across Kurnool district.
Following are some of the relief works undertaken by us since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic :

1. Distribution of ration kit to slum dwellers and daily wage workers in and around Kurnool. So far 600 grocery kits consisting of Rice, Toor Dal, Cooking Oil, Ata, Salt, Tamarind, Bathing & Detergent Soaps, Handwash, Spices each kit worth Rs. 2000, have been distributed.

2. Distribution of cooked meals. Around 2200 meals have been distributed so far.

3. Distribution of cloth masks and sanitizers. Around 1200 sets have been distributed so far.

We have been providing relief without any support from the government, and are supported solely by donors.

501c3 Tax exemption certificate will be issued for all donations; every donation is tax-deductible under 501c3 in USA.

Other major ongoing projects of SERUDS are : Orphanage, Charitable Old Age Home, Children Day Care Centers and Livelihood Training.
