1. Executive Summary: Navigating the Storm

The second quarter of 2026 has been a period of profound challenge and unwavering resolve for Feed Everyone. While the rains have been scarce in our region, the generosity of our community has faced its own drought. We are writing this report with a heavy heart but with an unbreakable spirit. The fundraising targets for the first quarter of 2016 (our fiscal start) have not been met due to significant reductions in earnings from our key institutional donors.

Consequently, we have experienced a delay in the timely accomplishment of several critical infrastructure projects. However, we believe in transparency. We are committed to sharing both our triumphs and our trials. Despite these financial headwinds, we have refused to turn a single child away. This report details how we have kept our doors open and our hearts full, adapting to ensure that the most vulnerable children in our community continue to receive the nutrition and care they deserve.

2. Programmatic Highlights: Smiles Amidst the Struggle

Even with reduced resources, our core mission has persevered. Here is what we achieved for the children together in April, May, and June:

· Emergency Food Rations: We distributed 4,500 emergency meal packs to 250 families across the peri-urban settlements of Nairobi. While our usual distribution capacity is higher, we prioritized the most critical cases to ensure no child went to bed completely hungry.
· Daily Feeding Program: Our center continued to provide a hot, nutritious porridge and lunch to 150 children daily. We have adjusted the menu to focus on high-calorie, locally sourced grains to maximize the impact of every shilling spent.
· Scholarship Support: We successfully secured books and uniforms for 45 children who were at risk of dropping out due to the economic downturn affecting their guardians.
· Community Garden Initiative: In a bid for self-sustainability, we expanded our small-scale kitchen garden. Despite the dry weather, we harvested our first batch of indigenous vegetables, which were used in our daily meals, proving that small steps lead to big victories.

3. The Challenge: The Funding Gap

It would be remiss of us not to address the "elephant in the room." The economic climate in the first half of 2026 has severely impacted our major corporate partners. As a result, the projected income for the first quarter was halved.

This shortfall has necessitated a temporary pause on two of our primary goals for this year:

· The Construction of a New Classroom: The building remains at a standstill, leaving us with overcrowded learning spaces.
· The Water Harvesting Project: We were unable to purchase the necessary tanks to capture rainwater, a critical component for our hygiene and cooking needs.

We are not discouraged; we are determined. We are currently restructuring our budget to focus strictly on life-saving food provisions while seeking new avenues of support.

Grace is 8 years old. She walks two miles every day to reach our feeding center. During the school holiday, she told our coordinator, "I love coming here because the porridge makes my stomach stop hurting, and I can play with my friends."
