Women and Adolescent girls with Disabilities one of the most vulnerable in our project working areas. They lives with her family upazilla islampur district Jamalpur northern Part of Bangladesh. Most of their family economic condition is low level. Organization co workers are Provide the basic knowledge and aware to her the menstruation Periods. Thy have high ambition and will be educated on her Menstruation hygienic with safety. But Due to family economic condition now they wants support donation for buy Hygienic materials and continue and will be enjoying fulfill life independently. They wants monthly Sanitary napkins support for menstruation periods and wants to help remain healthy, free from infections, more confident positively.
Inthis issues On the 16th august 2024 Organizational Coworker organized orientation on menstruation and provide healthy & hygienic material package to support use monthly menstruation period and counselling and motivation each Adolescent girls with Disabilities regularly.
Our Coworker have experience most of the women and adolescent girls still use old and dirty cloth pieces during periods and these cloths dry in behind and due to lack of menstrual hygiene awareness and difficult access of sanitary pads in rural places and Adolescent girls with disabilities in the rural areas don’t management due to their habit and some of them have no knowledge menstrual process and reproductive health. It is a big social taboo in our area. They are bound with social and family’s restrictions such as - not touching books, barrier doing homework and outside walking, not publicly discuss about this issue.Our Coworker try to understand and motivation activities is running for remove the worst situation.
If we are support to empower and educate Adolescent girls on Personnel hygienic in order to make them physically and emotionally capable to lead a successful life. Enhanced knowledge on menstruation will enlighten them against malpractices during menstruation.We are apologies to donors for support to her and others women & adolescent girls we hope and believe if we collectively support to the women & adolescents girls for protecting and empower.
