Self Care Training and Blanket Support to a needy poorest Leprosy affected Person

Smt. Geeta Devi (Name Changed)  age 46 Years is a leprosy patient living at Mozafra, Dist.- Nalanda.  She belongs to poor Schedule Cast family and don’t get any support from family as well as society due to leprosy disease . There are lot’s of myths and misconception concerning leprosy at the community and treated as a secondary person due to social myths . They have believe that it is incurable disease. When organization people visited they see Smt. Geeta Devi as help less , than further decided for support. She provided Self Care Training and health Checkup and also trained on life style as life skill. The organization also brought her to the Primary Health Centre and provided complete proper treatment . He is getting continuous health check up and treatment. Now he is able to lead a proper life with improved confidence and status. Myths and misconception in the community has also minimized after regular sensitization , they are now not seeing leprosy patient with skewed eye . They have believe that after proper treatment leprosy disease can be control. After health treatment & Self Care Training health status of Smt. Geeta Devi has also improved . She is also started getting support from family and society . She is living a healthy and prosperous life.

 In this year there is severe coldness in the winter season and a lot of  Leprosy affected persons with no proper housing and clothing  are being badly effected . Mostly Leprosy Affected Person are the neglected section in the community and family and they don’t get proper clothing , Care and housing facilities and hence face challenge in the cold seasons. In this situation there are death cases also in the state . In this circumstances the organization staffs visited  and identified most vulnerable persons , who are facing lack of clothing in the severe winter seasons and who don’t have any support and source of getting warm clothing .  In such circumstances they were selected for blanket support and provided blanket to them. After getting blanket they become very happy as they can sleep in the night without fear of coldness. 

With the support of Global Giving Foundation, we have distributed 16 Blanket among Needy Leprosy Affected Persons.

Health care support to a Leprosy Affected Person

Mr. Dinesh Ram (Name Changed)  age 43 Years is a leprosy patient living at Noorsarai, Dist.- Nalanda.  He belongs to poor Schedule Cast family and don’t get any support from family as well as society due to leprosy disease . There are lots of myths and misconceptions concerning leprosy at the community and treated as a secondary person due to social myths . They have believe that it is incurable disease. When organization people visited they see A young youth Mr. Dinesh Ram as help less, than further decided for support. They provided Self Care Training and health Checkup and also trained on life style as life skill. The organization also brought her to the Primary Health Centre and provided complete proper treatment. He is getting continuous health check up and treatment. Now he is able to lead a proper life with improved confidence and status. By the Support of The GlobalGiving Foundation, we are working with more than 200 Leprosy affected person and improving thinking status of community.  Because A leprosy affected person is completly ignore by family and society. Society and even family members hesitate to sit with a Leprosy affected person. A leprosy affected person live in very miserable condition.
