Narayan Seva Sansthan is working to eradicate severe hunger and malnutrition among children in remote, tribal areas of Udaipur, Rajasthan. Through mobile distribution vans and community hubs, this project delivers freshly cooked, protein-rich daily meals, essential micro-nutrients, and health tracking to 1,000 vulnerable children. We also empower mothers with vital nutrition education to ensure long-term, household-level health.
Tribal and remote villages in rural Udaipur face severe poverty, drought, and lack of access to nutritious food. Most families survive on daily-wage labor with low, unpredictable income. Consequently, hundreds of children suffer from acute malnutrition, stunting, and anemia. Poor nutrition weakens their immune systems and prevents them from attending school regularly, trapping them in a cycle of poverty and poor health before they even reach adulthood.
Narayan Seva Sansthan will deploy mobile food distribution vans and set up community nutrition hubs across remote Udaipur villages. We will provide daily balanced, protein-rich meals and essential micro-nutrients to 1,000 malnourished children. Regular health screenings will monitor growth metrics. Additionally, we will host hygiene and nutrition workshops for mothers to build long-term dietary awareness and ensure sustainable health improvements within families.
This initiative will directly eliminate severe malnutrition among 1,000 children, improving their physical growth, cognitive development, and school attendance. Educating mothers on low-cost local nutrition builds lasting community self-reliance. Over time, healthier children will achieve better educational outcomes, breaking the generation-to-generation cycle of poverty and disease in tribal Rajasthan, creating a strong foundation for future socio-economic growth.
