Climate change has always been a issue that we are trying to revert and fix. In order to combat this I started pedals for change. A project where I fix bikes in order to promote sustainable transport. For this project I personally purchase all tools, parts, and supplies myself. Every donation goes directly toward fixing, restoring, and shipping bikes to those in need. Your support helps provide students in Zimbabwe with access to transport and bikes. Lets make a difference One Pedal At A Time
Millions of bicycles are discarded each year, contributing to landfill waste and environmental harm, while in rural communities like those in Zimbabwe, students walk miles each day just to reach school. This lack of reliable transportation limits their access to education and opportunity. At the same time, usable bikes and parts go to landfills in places. Pedals for Change bridges this gap - repairing, reusing, and recycling bikes to turn excess into empowerment.
Pedals for Change repair outgrown or usable bikes using donated tools and parts, and ships them to students in rural Zimbabwe. By restoring these bikes, we reduce environmental waste while providing students with bikes to use and reliable transportation. Each bike has the potential to make student's daily commute efficient and enjoyable, increases school attendance, and opens the door to opportunity. The project turns excess into access, empowering youth through mobility, one bike at a time.
Pedals for Change increases school attendance, literacy, and opportunity by providing students in with reliable bikes. It also promotes environmental sustainability by reusing bikes that would otherwise end up in landfills. Over time, this project empowers individuals, strengthens communities, and encourages a culture of education, independence, and repair-based sustainability. One bike can create lasting change; for a student, a family, and a future.
