Dear friends,
Thank you again for keeping supporting us on GlobalGiving! Last year, we have donated 37 manual tricycle wheelchairs to the persons with disabilities and improved more than 37 families’ living situation in Vietnam. During these past three months, we have continued our partnership with Kien Cuong Factory and purchased another 50 standard wheelchairs to help more persons with disabilities in Vietnam. Thank you so much for your donations to make it happened!
On the March 20th, we donated 50 standard wheelchairs to 50 individuals with disabilities in Vietnam. Wheelchair receivers told us that they are so happy to have assistive devices to help them go out of their houses. We see the excitement and hope in their eyes when they are learning to use the wheelchairs. This could be a turning point of their lives. Using wheelchairs means that they don’t need to be confined in their houses and their bodies, they get a chance to explore their communities and the world.
The owner of our partner Kien Cuong Factory also thanks us for giving his employees with disabilities this opportunity. The order we placed this time is larger than last time but they finished it in time. Workers with disabilities in his factory feel a sense of accomplishment. They not only earn the salaries by themselves but also make something that can help others who are facing the similar challenges.
We have helped almost 100 families in Vietnam. We are now preparing to move to the next stage of our projectdonating white canes to Inner Mongolia in this coming month. Our staff in Visual Impairments Service Division has already prepared 100 white canes. White cane is the most common mobility aid for the visually impaired. It provides certain level of safety, mobility, and independence to persons with visual impairments. It can also help them recognize the world around them. We are excited to bring hope and lights to those who have been living in the dark for most of their lives. Do you feel the same excitement of helping and changing someone’s life?
