New year wishes and Thanksgiving cards to the donors
The students paid their gratitude and wished the donors a merry Christmas and a happy new year through cards prepared by them. Here is the link to the thanksgiving cards prepared by them.
Republic Day
For celebrating Republic day, the students participated in competitions and activities like dance, poem recitation, singing, etc. Here is the link to all the submissions. All classes from Nursery to 5th participated.
Girl Child Day
Technology Students Gymkhana, IIT Kharagpur organized an educational webinar on January 29, 2021, in association with Gopali Youth Welfare Society (GYWS), to celebrate the cause of National Girl Child Day
2 girl students participated in the 13th National Girl Child day where Nikita Mahato and Khushbu Tamang gave speeches in Hindi and English. It was organized by the professors of IIT Kharagpur and attended by most of the students of JVM. The event was conducted to motivate the young kids to perform their best and inspire them to achieve greater heights.
Aashayein
This year Aashayein - the annual function of JVM was conducted on 7th April. The theme was stages of life. Students participated in dance performances and also presented speeches related to various stages of life. They were trained by the members of GYWS and the event was conducted with all the precautions followed in the school premises. The final event was hosted on the 7th wherein donors, alumni, and many esteemed guests were present. Here is the link.
Parents As Co-Educators
The program spanned over 6 weeks. The motive was to involve parents in the activities and academics of their children. Parents and students were given 5 activities every week which they had to do. Youtube videos were provided as references to them. The videos and activities were set up in such a way that the parents could help the students complete them so that they get an idea as to how they can get involved in their kid's educational process as well. First Unit tests
First Unit tests were conducted in the last week of March. The mode of the exam was online completely. All the subjects were conducted within 7days. Online papers were distributed during class hours and students had to submit them within the time allotted. The papers were checked by teachers. Scores will be compiled after mid-term exams which will be conducted in July.
