The activity aimed to promote environmental awareness, responsibility, and sustainable habits among young learners.
Story / Update
Climate change and deforestation continue to threaten Pakistan’s environment, making youth engagement in green initiatives more vital than ever. To inspire students to take ownership of their environment, Alkhidmat Lahore held a Plantation Day at Mansoora Girls High School as part of its Green Pakistan Campaign.
Under the slogan “Plants for All”, students, teachers, and Alkhidmat volunteers—known as the “Green Collars”—actively participated in planting 150 trees across the school grounds. The event included an awareness session on the importance of trees for cleaner air, cooler temperatures, and a healthier planet.
The activity fostered a sense of pride and collective responsibility among students, teaching them that small actions can lead to lasting environmental change.
