Challenge

Over 60 million girls worldwide are missing out on education. Although primary education is universal in Kenya, secondary school fees are out of reach for many in the country. Less than half of the girls in Kenya enroll in secondary school.

Solution

The post-film discussions facilitated by Akili Dada will nurture transformative leadership in girls and young women from underprivileged backgrounds, motivating them to pursue their dreams after watching Malala's inspiring story.

Long-Term Impact

Further DocuBox's goal of creating a better world through film, with a focus on fostering future female leaders by spreading Malala's motivating story as an example.
