DocuBox will organize 20 screenings of 'He Named Me Malala' reaching about 8,000 students aged 14-18, followed by 1.5 hours of post-film discussion moderated by partner Akili Dada who specialize in girls' leadership.
Over 60 million girls worldwide are missing out on education. Although primary education is universal in Kenya, secondary school fees are out of reach for many in the country. Less than half of the girls in Kenya enroll in secondary school.
The post-film discussions facilitated by Akili Dada will nurture transformative leadership in girls and young women from underprivileged backgrounds, motivating them to pursue their dreams after watching Malala's inspiring story.
