The conflict in Syria has created the largest global displacement crisis in recent history. Almost 5 million people have fled to other countries, 500,000 people have died, and many more have been injured. The situation near Ghouta is still dire.
Most recently we have used funds to distribute cooked meals and bread, mainly to the most vulnerable women and children in Ghouta. We are also sending money to help get women and children to a nearby hospital when necessary, since so many health care facilities have been damaged during airstrikes and shelling. COHI will continue to support the families of this region for as long as possible.
