Project DISHA which supports Type I (insulin dependent) diabetes children and youth through FREE Childhood Diabetes Clinic and free Insulin for every child. Project DOSTI aims to foster optimal health, well-being and longevity of people suffering from diabetes mellitus, in a cost effective manner in Bangalore urban and rural, State of Karnataka with free / subsidized Diabetes Clinic, medicines, tests and treatment.
India has the highest number of diabetics of any one country in the entire world around 40 million. India is genuinely facing a healthcare crisis as this starts earlier in life and hence long term complications are becoming more common. This project aims to foster optimal health, well-being and longevity of people suffering from diabetes mellitus, in a cost effective manner.
Disha and Dosti are interrelated programs of a chronic diabetes health care project, trying to reach out to the poor and needy through Health awareness, screening and treatment camps in Bangalore urban and rural, State of Karnataka. Through the combination of our care provision, development programs, research and training activities, we will provide diabetes treatment and management with a view to reducing morbidity and mortality due to late diabetic complications.
As a health care institution, through treatment programs, research efforts and training activities we will meet the needs and expectations of our patients and collaborators by delivering the best possible service in a cost-effective manner. We will help persons with diabetes achieve optimal lifestyle giving them a normal life expectancy free from late complications.
