Last year, in this fire disaster local forest farmers and local volunteers in the region were the first ones responding to the forest fires with their own means, proving once again the importance of community-based disaster risk reduction.
So, we are planning to move on to the second phase of this project.
Overall Objective is to enhance resilience of the forest fires-affected and at-risk population in Southern Turkey disaster affected and at-risk population in Southern Turkey (wildfires) and Western Black Sea Region (floods).
Specific Objective is to empower disaster-affected communities by supporting their livelihoods recovery, and disaster preparedness and response capacities through a Survivor and Community-Led Response (SCLR) approach.
Come and support our pre-disaster preparedness and education plan.
