Two days after the fires in Adana and Antalya, between July 31st and August 3rd, field teams of 3 started field visits to determine the needs in the field.
Following visits and interviews, a Field Situation Report was prepared on plans prepared by crisis coordination centers, the support provided to households, and needs.
In the first week of the fire disaster, thanks to aid sent from many provinces of Turkey and the mobilization of public institutions, no deficiencies were identified regarding basic needs such as Food, Water, Hygiene and Accommodation, thus it was decided to provide support for medium and long-term needs that would arise after the fire was taken under control.
Manavgat field was visited again on August 9th-12th and as a result of the meetings with representatives of public institutions, non-governmental organizations, chambers, unions and mukhtars, various needs were identified to ensure families affected by the fire can rearrange their previous lives again such as household goods, rent support, home renovation, and improvement of livelihoods. Thus, it was decided to offer families a cash support of 4,000 TL, which they can use in the areas they need.
