Disaster Relief-Hurricane Harvey

It has been almost two years since Hurricane Harvey devastated South Texas, yet affected families are still struggling to rebuild their lives and homes. Although the waters have long receded, the effects of Hurricane Harvey will be felt for years across the region. 

Partnering with local agencies, Texas Diaper Bank continues to help those in need in the affected area. During the first quarter of 2019, Texas Diaper Bank distributed 146,675 diapers and 2,612 adult incontinence products to families in the disaster zone. In total, 4.283 individuals received assistance. 

Texas Diaper Bank is dedicated to serving the needs of communities, individuals and families as they continue to recover from the storm. We will deliver emergency supplies of diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products, incontinence supplies, and other healthcare items in the affected areas for as long as necessary.

It has been almost 1-1/2 years since Hurricane Harvey made landfall, becoming the second-most costly hurricane in U.S. history. The storm’s devastation directly impacted an estimated 13 million people. Although the winds eventual died down and the waters receded, the cleanup and rebuilding efforts are still underway. It may take years for families to begin to recover any sense of normalcy in their lives after losing their homes, livelihoods, possessions, and even loved ones in this disaster.
The Texas Diaper Bank continues to actively support families and individuals affected by the hurricane and its aftermath. In 2018, the organization distributed 2,200,000 baby diapers, 3,770,000 baby wipes, 196,500 adult incontinence products, and 50,000 other items including diaper rash cream, toys, sunscreen, and clothing. As always, Texas Diaper Bank never charges for services.
Partnering with agencies working in the affected areas, Texas Diaper Bank continues to serve the needs of communities and families struggling to rebuild. Emergency supplies of diapers, wipes, feminine hygiene products, and other healthcare items are delivered when supplies in the affected areas run low. Texas Diaper Bank is committed to making sure families and individuals have access to these items when they need them.
