Currently we are working together with Young Movement, a platform of young people for young people and with the help of youth workers, at a large youth event. On Sunday, April 21, 2019, auditions will be held for a special event on May 5th Liberation Festival. We select about 10 acts that may perform on May 5th. . I will also be a jury member during the audition and co-responsible for the award ceremony. Young people who pay attention to the theme of freedom get extra points. We expect a lot of new talents, but also old acquaintances, we are very curious! For this project we will also provide a free workshop in our studio. This workshop will be provided by our audio engineer Dwight Tong-Sang.
We are also working on a special song called `why`. This song is about not only asking why there is war, hunger and injustice in this world, but that we can also do something about it. This song is sung by Melody Jesarela Pattipeiluhu. At the age of 8 she won the Children for Children festival in 2013 and is the youngest participant ever to win the Children for Children Song Contest in the Netherlands. The recording is finished and the song is mixed and mastered in our studio. We are now busy with the preparations for recording a video clip. The song is specially made for Children with a Future Foundation, because we want to bring extra attention to the street children in Indonesia. In a next report we will pay attention to the video clip and tell a bit about how the 5 May auditions have been conducted and which young people are through.
