For many of our young people, music is an important means of survival. Through music you can work on your self-confidence. An emotional means to filter out negative feelings, a way to express joy, a way to get through the day by simply singing a song. We have a number of programs where young people learn how to deal with their feelings and use music as a source of strength. In the DIMT project, young people learn singing and dancing techniques, but also how they can present themselves. In 7 months time they receive lessons and build nice friendships. After 7 months they present their hard work on stage. For parents, friends and partly unknown people they perform and show their talents. After the project, we produced a special song in our studio and recorded it with this group of young people. For many it was the first time they were allowed to record a song in a studio, it was very special. The song will soon be online as a nice reminder of the project with photos of 7 months of hard work. A beautiful musical adventure that these young people will never forget.
