We continue to work in fundraising, we are still facing major problems as a result of the health crisis caused by the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic in Mexico as of February 21, 2021, with government data more than 179,000 people died from the disease. The actual number of deaths is estimated to be 450,000
The plight of communities is further exacerbated, thousands of jobs have been lost and the economic contraction is in the order of 10%. The school year has been suspended, it was estimated that school activities would resume in September 2020, however, a second date had been estimated by February 2021, however, in the face of the second wave of contagion now the estimate is that face-to-face classes should begin until June 2021.
We have continued to communicate with our beneficiaries, who are now also facing a major economic problem and lack of food because it is a highly marginalized community and since business activities are suspended, they have not been able to work or generate income. Poor nutrition is causing negative impacts on children's development
Our team continues to work to obtain resources and support to achieve the success of this important project.
