During this period, women and girls represent a significant percentage, and that in recent years they make up an increasingly larger proportion of the migrant population in Mexico.
Thanks to your support, we have supported actions to develop legal services, psychosocial support, local integration actions for populations in need, community integration for migrants, internally displaced people, care and prevention of gender-based violence within reception spaces.
In terms of advocacy actions carried out, it stands out that as the Loyola Foundation we are part of the Ordinary Assembly of the Jesuit Network with Migrants Mexico (RJM México), a space of articulation in which the Jesuit works of the country meet to address the challenges of human mobility.
Attention to the specific needs of migrant women and girls is essential. These people often face greater risks during their journey, such as human trafficking, sexual exploitation and gender violence. For this reason, Fundación Loyola promotes actions focused on the protection and empowerment of this vulnerable group, providing them with access to health services, education and psychosocial support.
The Loyola Foundation continues to work to strengthen and promote programs and projects for accompanying, serving and defending refugees and people in situations of forced mobility, helping them heal their wounds, learn and build their own future.
Help us to help.
