Dear supporter of youth accessing education in Vietnam,
We are pleased to share with you an overview (attached) of our actions and results in Vietnam from 2025.
In Vietnam, rapid economic growth coexists with strong regional inequalities. Our program is designed to bridge this gap by reaching students from underserved and remote communities. Today, discover what makes our approach in Vietnam unique.
Context country: Vietnam has made great progress in reducing extreme poverty, with only 4.2% living below USD 3.65/day, though nearly 20% remain vulnerable under the USD 6.85/day benchmark. Multidimensional poverty is low nationally (4.1%), but reaches ~40% in disadvantaged coastal and island districts.
Education and digital access remain uneven: the tertiary enrolment rate is 38%, illiteracy is higher among ethnic minorities (15–33%), and over 70% of women lack ICT skills, with the poorest most affected. Youth unemployment is 9%, higher among young women.
Our students come from remote regions across Vietnam, with ~30% from ethnic minorities, highlighting both the country’s diversity and the inequalities PNV seeks to address.
Our Impact in Vietnam:
Thank you for your support and continued support to help these deserving youth access a quality education!
