The Foundation’s Train the Trainer Volunteers Program assumes a pivotal role in the delivery of our programs to the hundreds of public secondary school pupils that we serve in Lagos State, Nigeria. The training program was designed to equip select female university graduates and undergraduates with the skills needed to deliver Life and Leadership Skills Program (SLL), a key component of the Foundation’s SHE Initiative Program, to female students in twenty public senior secondary schools across Lagos State in the year 2022.
Without our volunteers, not much work can be done. Since the inception of the SHE Initiative Program in 2016, CKF’s volunteers have served as facilitators in delivering SLL to public secondary school female students in their respective schools. They have also served as chaperones, admins, and as the Foundation’s liaisons.
Two rounds of the training program were held from March through May 2022. A total of 18 volunteers were onboarded at the end of the training. We are just a couple of days away from the commencement of the in-school SLL program and our volunteers are just as excited as we are about the great value the program would bring to the girls.
