We have made a start on our Windows on the World project, with classroom refurbishments and additional security carried out by the school and parents. We have installed wifi and connected the school to the local mini-grid system to power the ICT hub.
We have contracted with a partner organisation, Centre for Women's Empowerment in Technology, to develop a digital literacy curriculum aligned to the Kenya curriculum. This will be first delivered to the teaching staff, from where we will work with them to embed digital literacy in their teaching practice to ensure all children at the school are able to develop age-appropriate digital learning.
We have purchased 20 laptops via Computer Aid International which will be used to equip the centre.
