Dear Friends,
We are pleased to provide this update on the mDiabetes program – a massive nationwide mHealth program we are implementing with our partner Nokia in India.
We have made remarkable progress since April's update.
1. With your support, we have completed sending 56 diabetes education and prevention text messages, over six months, to each of the more than one million consumers in India who opted in to our program. These million-plus consumers have “graduated” from our program and are now armed with valuable information on diabetes and its prevention, enabling them to live longer and better.
2. We have also completed the field work for the "post" phase of our Effectiveness Evaluation and are now analyzing the data.
We are working hard to prepare for the Clinton Global Initiative meeting this September where we will deliver our final analysis of the program’s effectiveness, fulfilling our Clinton Global Initiative commitment.
Our Goal
We believe that mDiabetes will be the cornerstone of a scalable, cost-effective model for chronic disease prevention for the developing world. We are so grateful for your support. Together, we can create a healthier world!
