Dear Friends and Sponsors,
We would like to share an update on what we’ve been doing over the past 4 months with your generous financial support, helping children with special needs to learn and connect.
Our Destiny children SEN club and Family support has remained at the heart of our weekly program, continuing every week to provide essential learning and respite for both children and family's.
Every Monday from 5pm to 7pm our face to face SEN club at Mountfeild community Centre offers children aged 8-16 creative and social activities ,arts and crafts, story reading, Lego, puzzles, sensory play, music, life skills and educational games. The project support children and young people to experience the joy of learning in a social and engaging environment while parents are able to take a rest or socialize with other parents.
Meanwhile our Wednesday club continues, online via Zoom from 6 to 7pm giving children the chance to connect socially, use their imaginations and enjoy small art projects in a safe and supportive environment. As a charitable organization, we are also available to share valuable information on health and well-being with family's through our Destiny children and family support WhatsApp group and parent/career support group, face to face meetings happen every 1st Wednesday of the month and 3rd Monday,
This summer 2025 we held a joyful family fun day in August at Swanley park, bringing together children, young people and their family for a day of celebration, play and connection. Family's especially enjoyed spending quality time together while connecting with other parents and carers making the day both enriching and memorable for everyone who got involved! We had an amazing opportunities of provising Holiday Activities and Food Program and Short break Multi activity camps funded by Bromley council in partnership with Bromley Children and Family forum. We supported around 250 children, with a daily average of 30 attending. Through both Short breaks and HAF children and young people were given the opportunity to engage in a wide range of enrichement activities !
Wrapping up the summer term and the month of August also brought along a fantastic coach trip to Lego land, for many of our children it was their first time visiting a theme park, and the excitement was clear from the moment we set off! Families were able to enjoy a full day of rides, attractions and interactive Lego- themed activities, creating unforgeable memories together. This trip not only gave children a chance to explore and have fun in a new environment but also strengthened the bonds between families and our community here at Destiny children SEN Club.
Thanks to your donations wich was used to pay for the overhead expenses, we have been able to provide these vital experiences that foster learning, creativity, and social development. Your continued support ensures we can keep offering these enriching opportunities.
As we rely on grant funding and donations through platforms like GlobalGiving, we kindly ask you to continue supporting us.
