Dear Friends and Sponsors,
We would like to share an update on what we’ve been doing over the past five months with your generous financial support—helping children with special needs to learn and connect.
Destiny Children and Family Support Project continues to provide weekly tutoring and creative social activities for children with special needs, including holiday programs and after-school Zoom clubs. Sessions take place face-to-face every Monday and online every Wednesday from 5–7pm. These 4 hours give parents and carers a much-needed short break while their children engage in activities that enhance social and life skills.
As a charitable organisation, we also share valuable information on health and well-being with families through our Destiny Children and Family Support WhatsApp group and parent/carers support group.
Children and young people continue to enjoy arts and crafts, educational games, story reading, maths, and imaginative play. On Zoom, they create small art projects, use their imagination, and connect socially in a safe and supportive environment.
In December 2024, we held a joyful Christmas party for our children, young people, and families in Bromley. Each child received a gift from Santa, and everyone had a great time. Special thanks to BCFForum and our supporters for donating toys and gifts!
During winter, when the weather allowed, our children enjoyed outdoor activities such as sack racing, bubble play, and ball games using cones, bats, and sports equipment.
They also made festive crafts like Christmas decorations, wreaths, trees, and snow globes using materials like cotton wool, glitter, and paint. After the holidays, they got creative in the kitchen—baking and decorating cookies and gingerbread men. Many also enjoyed playing with Lego, cars, puzzles, and roleplay toys like dolls and accessories.
In February Half Term 2025, children and young people took part in full-day camps through our Short Breaks provision and the Holiday and Food Program, funded by Bromley Council in partnership with Bromley Children and Family Forum. Activities included basketball, sensory magic, football, and more—allowing children to enjoy a full day of enrichment and fun with their peers. Thank you to our sponsors and partners for making this possible!
In Easter 2025, we delivered Holiday and Food programmes and Short Break provision in partnership with Bromley Children and Family Forum.. Children and young people participated in play, sensory activities, dance for well-being. We also had enrichement activitie including arts and crafts, sensory play, basketball, and football—all led by our wonderful team at Lay Witnesses for Christ International UK #destinychildrensenclub.
Thanks to your donations, we have been able to provide these vital experiences that foster learning, creativity, and social development. Your continued support ensures we can keep offering these life-enriching opportunities.
As we rely on grant funding and donations through platforms like GlobalGiving, we kindly ask you to continue supporting us.
