DESPERATE PLEA TO SAVE OUR UNIQUE LIFE SAVING SHELTER Our Charity Doris Banham Dog Rescue is known as 'the last chance to live' for dogs, their only hope of avoiding death. Dogs who have been abused, exploited and tormented from pounds, back street breeders, fighting and baiting rings and owned by drug gangs etc and who have been given up upon by everyone else but us find sanctuary with us.
Many of the DBDR dogs have faced some of the worst abuse - A dog injected with heroin for a laughA dog stabbed in the neck and left hanging A dog thrown from a high-rise building because it bit its drug-crazed owner. Here, the dogs are given the dedicated attention, medical care and training they need to overcome their problems and eventually find forever homes - an intensive process that often takes months. Whatever the dog needs, this is the place they'll get it
These are the animals who are relying on us for protection. We are now struggling to survive. Without our vital shelter, animals who deserve a second chance will be put to death or suffer and die in pain without it.
