Dear Donor,
In August, we marked the 16th anniversary of the Designing Art Academy for Orphans, an art summer camp that offered children the opportunity to participate in a range of workshops, including kickboxing, mural painting, yoga classes, and more.
Although we faced a tight budget this year, we were fortunate to receive last-minute donations that made the event possible. We are confident that the memories formed will be treasured by the kids for a lifetime. They need to engage with diverse people, cultures, and art forms in a more liberating and enjoyable manner. The camp not only provided a creative outlet but also fostered a sense of community and belonging among the children. The joy and laughter that filled the air were infectious, as each child discovered new talents and forged friendships that transcended boundaries.
One of the highlights this year was the collaborative mural project, where children worked together to create a vibrant piece of art with Ratko Backo. This project taught them the value of teamwork and collective creativity, as they combined their unique perspectives to produce something truly special.
Additionally, the yoga classes with celebrity Shiho offered them a chance to relax and find inner peace amidst the bustling activities.
As we look ahead to the future, we are filled with hope and determination to continue providing these enriching experiences to even more children. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has supported us on this journey and hope to have your support in our next art camp!
With Love,
YouMeWe Team.
