In summer 2018, we organized a summer day camp with free-time activities for children with autism in the Autistic Centre Andreas. Altogether eight children attended the camp. 6-year old twins, Lukáš and Oliver from Pezinok, attended the camp, too. The parents appreciated this possibility.
“Summer camps or similar types of service are very important for us, parents, because we are at peace as we know our children are with professionals. Kindergartens are closed for two months during the summer holiday and it is not possible for parents to be at home with the children. We wish there were such camps for 2 months. The employees with the right qualification and experience are important because they know how to evaluate the needs and approach to each child with a special care. They take care of the children the way the children can understand them. Four days in the camp were more useful for our children than staying at a place where it is enough just to survive a day… The care they offer for the children in the Centre Andreas is amazing and that’s why the children improve fast.
Lukasko and Oliverko were very happy. We could see it, because every morning they would run up the stairs and did not wait for us. Our children were also happy when we came to pick them up. The boys had a lot of experiences. Therefore, the employees of the Centre Andreas made us happy too.”

The project For parents without parents offers various free-time activities for children with autism, such as the summer camp. We are able to organize just one (one week long) summer camp a year. Thank you for your donation.
