A donation of blackberries recently became an opportunity to support families not only with nutritious food, but also with practical knowledge they can use at home.
Recently, at PAN Corporación Social, we accompanied the distribution of the fruit with guidance on nutrition, proper storage, and different ways to prepare and make the most of it. Families of 450 children received ideas and recommendations to incorporate the blackberries into their daily meals and preserve them appropriately.
This approach reflects how we understand food and nutrition: access to food is important, and so is strengthening people's capacity to make informed decisions about what they eat and how they use the resources available to them.
Through initiatives like this, donations become part of a broader process of accompaniment. By combining food with practical information, we contribute to families having more tools to support their well-being and nutrition at home.
