Delivering Good is working diligently around the clock with the fashion, home and children's industries to secure donations of new merchandise for the adults, children and families impacted by Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma. We are currently taking donations of product as well as cash, which will help transport the merchandise to community partners, on the ground who will distribute it to people in need over the next several weeks and months.
Delivering Good needs your help to provide disaster relief to areas affected by hurricanes Harvey & Irma by delivering much needed necessities. After slamming into the Gulf, Southeast, and the Caribbean, the storms left floods, storm surges, and power outages in their wake. It is estimated that the hurricanes caused nearly $290 billion in damage. Children and families in shelters and those returning to their homes are in dire need of new apparel, coats, blankets, shoes, and baby products.
Families impacted by the hurricanes lost everything: their homes, their possessions and even their sense of safety. By providing families with critical essentials, Delivering Good can ensure an easier road to recovery. We are working with our partners in the fashion, home and children's industries to provide victims with basic essentials, such as warm shoes, clothing, and home goods.
For the remainder of 2017, Delivering Good will work closely with all of our local partners to ensure that these families' basic needs are covered. Families are now returning home and are struggling to rebuild their lives. In the midst of their despair, Delivering Good us committed to bringing hope and joy to victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma. By providing them with essential materials, families can focus their time and energy on rebuilding their lives and beginning anew.
