In 2019, Linda, began to receive her comprehensive HIV services from Alive Medical Services. By the time Linda came to Alive Medical Services, she was in a bad state physically and mentally. She was devasted but AMS loved her back to quality life and she came to express gratitude to the entire Alive Medical Services team and the donors who have enabled AMS to reach people living with HIV just like her. The 52-year-old is a grandmother of four children and lost her only child way back in 2013 leaving them under her care. Linda is no longer anxious about the future because she now knows she will live longer than she thought she would, as long as she adheres to the medical worker's health advice. She is currently self-employed and runs a small roadside fruit and vegetable stand where she can earn a living for the daily supplies for her family. "I follow the advice of the health professionals in taking my ARVS well, eating some fruits, vegetables etc." Linda enthusiastically shares. Linda is extremely grateful to the entire Alive Medical Services family and wants for it to grow and provide more access to people in remote communities because the pandemic is affecting the entire community. Linda encourages people living with HIV to take their medication as directed while we all wait for a cure, and she advises them to make the most of the resources available to them to live a happy and healthy life. She also urges the general public to stop stigmatizing and discriminating against HIV-positive people because no one knows what the future holds. "Learning that you are HIV-positive can be a shock at first, and it can elicit some difficult emotions. However, with the proper treatment, support, and care, you can take care of your health and live a long and fulfilling life. Having a positive mental attitude, which Alive Medical Services efficiently deliver, has significantly aided me in coming to terms with HIV. We're supposed to be available to everyone and this is the transformation we all need." Linda draws a close.
