Join us in transforming the lives of 13,000 Ugandans by supporting the work of Alive Medical Services (AMS). Strategically located in one of Kampala's most impoverished neighborhoods, AMS provides holistic, free medical care 24/7. Clinicians, counselors and nurses serve patients with love and dignity, ensuring those living with HIV can live healthy, full lives. We provide medical care, income-generating programs, psychosocial support, nutrition aid, youth initiatives, and more.
For years, Uganda was hailed as an HIV success story. Between 1990 and 2005, Uganda's HIV prevalence rate dropped by 11 percent - but today, complacency has caused that rate to rise once again. Alive Medical Services (AMS) exists to ensure history doesn't repeat itself. AMS' doors are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide free, comprehensive prevention, care, treatment and psycho-social support of HIV /AIDS care to some of the most vulnerable individuals in Kampala.
AMS is grounded in love and dignity, believing everyone deserves a full and healthy life. We provide holistic services to ensure people adhere to their medication, breaking down barriers like stigma and poverty in the process. After 10 years of service delivery, AMS understands the many ways HIV negatively impacts lives. In order to fully support our patients, we engage them in a variety of activities to improve their health and well-being, including nutrition support and maternal and child heal
Your support will have a direct impact on the lives of 13,000 HIV-positive individuals in Uganda, as it's only through partners like you that our programming is possible. AMS acts as a haven of hope for those in Kampala - with your support, we can continue providing essential services to those who need them most. Thank you for helping us end extreme poverty and AIDS in Uganda.
