Dispelling deepest darkness through Education

Colors of Wisdom
Colors of Wisdom

Education is and always will be very important in building a strong foundation in one’s life. This is especially true in terms of looking at our future generation. We want our youth to be educated, to be up to date with current issues, and able to provide knowledge to the next generation. Education is a strong building block in building a stronger and healthier community. This starts by putting an emphasis on the importance of education in our youth today. As a community, it is our obligation to help a child develop their identity and be a contributing factor to society. We must refocus on the idea that a child is the centre of our community.

Keeping in mind the same thing, the AROH foundation had also done last month's co-curriculum activities with the children about the Rise Centre and the community. At AROH , the importance of co-curricular activities in education is realised with the teaching curriculum RISE centres follow. The month of saw RISE centres engage in multiple co-curricular activities to engage the students and parents. International Women’s Day is annually held on March 8 to celebrate women’s achievements throughout the world. It is also known as the United Nations (UN) Day for Women’s Rights and International Peace. At RISE, we understand how education can transform the life of a girl, giving them social identity and independence. History has witnessed, that whenever a girl is empowered with education, she has played very significant role in the expansion and growth of the Indian economy, and acted as a force to reckon with. Women education refers to every form of education that aims at improving the knowledge, and skill of women and girls. At RISE, we ensure that maximum number of girls are enrolled and equipped for all battles of life. AROH Foundation marked International Women’s Day within RISE centres even though monthly evaluation tests were in full swing. Educators presented stories of Mother Teresa, Mary Kom and Kiran Bedi narrating the struggles they faced and how they overcame them through their constant perseverance and persistence. Children were seen mesmerized hearing how a normal girl like them could reach up to those high levels just through education, hard work and determination.

Rise Centres also took an initiative into this aspects of all the educators in different centres did a small workshop on health and hygiene in which they were taught the importance of health and what is the meaning of personal hygiene. Like personal hygiene, we should also focus on social and psychological hygiene. We should try to understand the importance of public sanitation. With these good habits, we can have a long, happy and disease-free life. So Stay Clean and Keep Smiling. AROH witnessed World Health Day, Poetry day and conducted rallies to ware children, their parents and related community.

Thus in RISE, we don’t just are catering to 500 individuals but also on concerned community and larger population that also ensures the baton of change being handed over to the change itself!
