Te Protejo México: United for a Safer Digital World for Children
Thanks to your continued support, Te Protejo México remains at the forefront of the fight against online child sexual exploitation. As oft his month, we’ve received a total of 13,881 reports were received through the free online platform www.teprotejomexico.org, categorized as follows:
Highlights from this period
“Julio Azul” Campaign – Fin de la Esclavitud
Together with our ally Fin de la Esclavitud, we joined the Julio Azul campaign — 31 days of awareness to prevent human trafficking and sexual exploitation. This national initiative united voices across Mexico to end modern slavery.
Congress: “Rumbo al Mundial 2026, Jalisco Alza la Voz”
We participated in the Zero Tolerance to Exploitation International Congress, calling for collaboration among government, civil society, and industry to ensure that no major event becomes an excuse for the sexual exploitation of children.
INHOPE “Hotline of the Month”
In August, we were recognized as Hotline of the Month by INHOPE. As Mexico’s first reporting line for Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), this milestone highlights our leadership in digital child protection. Our Executive Director, Eduardo Cruz Moguel, also serves on INHOPE’s Board, sharing Latin America’s perspective in the global fight against online exploitation.
Launch of the Directory of Prevention Tools
We presented a new Directory of Tools for the Prevention of Child Sexual Violence, designed to provide families, educators, and communities with accessible resources to protect children.
Collaboration and Advocacy
We joined the dialogue for the book “Sanar para Crecer y Trascender” by Dafna Viniegra, and strengthened partnerships with ChildFund México to promote safe and nurturing environments for every child.
Global Engagement
We participated in the INHOPE Summit 2025, sharing how hotline collaboration strengthens global responses. Later, we joined the signing of the NCMEC–Government of Jalisco cooperation agreement to improve international coordination against child exploitation.
