Thanks to the generous support of 73 donors, our project is moving steadily toward its goal of $7,500 USD, with only $1,486 USD left to raise. Over the past three months, we have joined forces to strengthen domestic workers in Mexico, boosting their skills, leadership, and access to tools that help them grow both personally and professionally.
At the heart of this project are the 100 domestic workers participating in workshops on labor rights, technical skills, leadership, and legal advice. Each session becomes a space to learn, share, and discover new opportunities, building support networks and lasting collaboration.
One of the most exciting achievements has been the update of the Dignas App, which now provides faster, more user-friendly access to key information, such as a fair pay calculator and legal resources. This tool is helping more and more workers to know and exercise their rights in a practical and effective way.
Our achievements this quarter
Training on social security and prevention of workplace violence: In June, we trained 36 domestic workers (34 women and 2 men) on essential topics for their labor well-being. The diversity of ages and backgrounds enriched the sessions, fostering the exchange of experiences and learning.
Personalized legal advice: Between April and June, 34 domestic workers received tailored legal guidance, enabling them to make informed and confident decisions about their work situations.
Community leadership development: In May, 13 domestic workers completed their training as legal promoters in their communities. With diverse ages, origins, and backgrounds, they are now sharing their knowledge, supporting others, and strengthening the social fabric through leadership.
In a country where access to social security is still limited, we are committed to labor formalization, technological innovation, awareness-raising, and building strategic alliances. Each action brings us closer to a fairer, more professional, and more respectful labor environment for all domestic workers.
Thank you for being part of this journey. Every donation is an investment in talent, leadership, and opportunity. Together, we are building a future where domestic work is recognized, valued, and dignified.
Let’s keep building a future where domestic work is recognized, valued, and dignified!
