In the heart of Comuna 13 in Medellín, where the streets tell stories of struggle and resilience, many single mothers face the harsh reality of extreme poverty. Every day, these brave women rise with the hope of providing a better future for their children, but they find themselves trapped in a cycle of vulnerability that seems endless. Their homes, built with inadequate materials, are not only unsafe shelters but also expose their families to health risks.
In this context, the Dame la Mano Foundation emerges as a beacon of hope. With a deep commitment to these families, the Foundation seeks to transform the lives of these women by empowering them and providing them with a decent roof. Through its housing program, they strive to build safe homes where each family can live with dignity and health. However, no resources have been received to advance this noble mission.
The lack of donations represents a significant challenge. Each day that passes without support, more families continue to live in precarious conditions, limiting their opportunities and perpetuating the cycle of poverty. The Foundation knows that every act of solidarity can make a difference, but it urgently needs the help of those who believe in the power of change.
The impact of this project is not measured only in bricks and cement but in the lives that are transformed. By providing decent housing, the quality of life for families improves, and their children are given the opportunity to access an education that allows them to dream big.
